Jessica Ellen Richings

The first thing that you notice about Jessica Richings is her warmth.  She is full of energy and laughter and has a unique talent of making you feel as though you have been acquainted for years. After a career in London at PWC Legal, she moved to Barbados to manage a private luxury estate; coordinating their sales, rentals and estate management. She is currently the lead design and CEO of Ellen Richings Design based in Barbados. 

Jessica's love of texture, tactile finishes and her skilful use of light create a unique theme that is carried through all of her designs.  She is well known on the island, for her friendly approach and her willingness to work within all budgets, frequently applying her skills to up-cycling or refinishing cherished family pieces. She has a primary focus on longevity and durability, ​her bespoke furniture designs are equal measure of beauty and usability, and her use of tensile structures to dramatically increase usable living space can vastly enhance and enliven any property. 

Education

Jessica studied interior architecture & design at Nottingham Trent University in the UK, which was the 2017 University of the year in the prestigious Times Higher Education awards. She also holds a degree in English from Queen Mary, University of London and went on to study Graduate Diploma Law at BPP University.
